Waking the Beast

quest · Other Areas

Other Areas quest. Reward: Carbuncle's Pole.

A summoner quest in which you wake Carbuncle by defeating the elemental avatars in the six Cloisters and a final fight at Full Moon Fountain.

Before you start: Know the six elemental avatars: Ifrit, Garuda, Shiva, Ramuh, Leviathan and Titan; Repeats are limited to once per conquest week

Walkthrough:
1. Examine the ??? (G-6) in La Theine Plateau and watch the cutscene to receive the rainbow resonator.
2. Win the Waking the Beast battle in each of the six Cloisters: Flames, Frost, Gales, Storms, Tides and Tremors, receiving an Eye from each.
3. With all six Eyes and the rainbow resonator, enter Full Moon Fountain and win the Waking the Beast battle there to receive the faded ruby.
4. Return to the ??? (G-6) in La Theine Plateau and examine it with the faded ruby to complete the quest.

Good to know: Each Eye and the resonator are used up in the final battle. The quest can be repeated for more titles, but only once per conquest week. Your choice in the final fight decides which title you receive.
