Test My Mettle

quest · Other Areas

Other Areas quest, starts with Devean in Selbina. Reward: Power Sandals.

Repeatable Selbina quest: Devean takes your bet that you can fetch Power Sandals from a jar in Davoi in time.

Before you start: Level 10 or higher; Nation rank 2 or higher; Selbina and Rabao fame level 2; Once per Japanese day

Walkthrough:
1. Talk to Devean (I-8) in Selbina and choose a bet (100, 250, 500 or 1,000 gil) and a time limit.
2. Enter Davoi from Jugner Forest at (G-12) and examine the Jar (F-7) to obtain Power Sandals.
3. Trade the Power Sandals to Devean (I-8) in Selbina before the time runs out.

Good to know: A shorter time limit pays a bigger multiplier on your bet. If you are late, you lose your bet; either way the quest can be repeated after the next Japanese midnight. The Jar moves to a new spot after you take the sandals.
