quest · Bastok

Bastok quest, starts with Raibaht in Metalworks. Reward: Raven Scythe; 20 Bastok fame.

The Dark Knight's first Artifact quest, in which you collect a darksteel formula by defeating Vaa Huja the Erudite in Giddeus, and receive the Raven Scythe.

Before you start: Main job Dark Knight at level 40 or higher; Blade of Darkness completed

Walkthrough:
1. Talk to Raibaht (G-8) in Metalworks and accept the quest.
2. Talk to Mighty Fist (G-9) in Metalworks to receive the letter from the Darksteel Forge.
3. Bring the letter to Cochal-Monchal in Windurst Waters and watch the cutscene.
4. Obtain a Yagudo Cherry.
5. In Giddeus, optionally trade a Yagudo Cherry to Quu Bokye (Map 2, F-6) for a hint, then trade a Yagudo Cherry to the ??? to summon Vaa Huja the Erudite.
6. Defeat Vaa Huja the Erudite and examine the ??? again to receive the Darksteel Formula.
7. Return to Raibaht (G-8) in Metalworks and hand in the formula to complete the quest.

Good to know: Both Quu Bokye and the ??? take a Yagudo Cherry each, so bring at least two. Vaa Huja the Erudite will not appear while another one is already up.
