A Shantotto Ascension

mission · A Shantotto Ascension

A Shantotto Ascension mission. Reward: key item black book.

A Shantotto Ascension mission 5, in which Andrause in Norg assigns three monster families to capture on soul plates and the finished set earns the Black Book.

Before you start: Currently on A Shantotto Ascension: Enemy of the Empire (I); 800 gil if you need a Soultrapper and Blank Soul Plates

Walkthrough:
1. Talk to Andrause (I-8) in Norg to be assigned three target monster types.
2. Buy a Soultrapper and 12 Blank Soul Plates from Andrause (I-8) for 800 gil if you do not have them.
3. Use the Soultrapper on each of the three assigned monsters until you hold a soul plate of each.
4. Trade each soul plate to Andrause (I-8) in Norg, one at a time.
5. After the third plate is handed in, the mission completes.

Good to know: The targets are random and come from a pool of sahagin, pugils, crabs, bats, leeches and similar sea creatures; Andrause repeats them if you forget. Each trade must use a plate recorded from one of your assigned monsters; wrong plates are refused. Andrause sells the Soultrapper and plates only once per Vana'diel day. If you already hold the Black Book, Andrause has nothing further for you.
