The Ygnas Directives and The Arciela Directive
guide ยท Server guide
Seven one-time Records of Eminence quests (records 955 to 961) that follow Ygnas, the leafkin who travels with Princess Arciela. Fremilla, Arciela's maid, sends the requests through Ploh Trishbahk at the Castle Adoulin gate in Eastern Adoulin (K-9). Every report is made to Ploh.
Each record pays sparks of eminence and EXP: a base of 1,000 sparks and 5,000 EXP, raised by this server's Records of Eminence rates. The first clear pays triple sparks. Some records also give the special rewards listed below.
How to start
You need:
- The Records of Eminence tutorial First Step Forward completed.
- Every Seekers of Adoulin mission completed (through The Light Within).
Talk to Ploh Trishbahk. He gives you the first directive and tells you where to go.
Set the record yourself. When Ploh gives you a directive, open the Records of Eminence menu and set it (Other > RoE Quests). Your report to Ploh only counts while the record is set. Ploh reminds you if it is not.
Each directive opens once the one before it is done. Directives 3, 5 and the Arciela Directive also wait for a new Vana'diel day after your last report.
All dialogue appears in the chat log.
The Ygnas Directive 1 (record 955)
- Talk to Ploh Trishbahk.
- Talk to Chalvava in Rala Waterways (F-11). The nearest entrance is from Western Adoulin (I-12), southeast of the Mog House.
- Report to Ploh.
Reward: sparks and EXP.
The Ygnas Directive 2 (record 956)
- Talk to Ploh.
- Examine the Mischief Marker in Western Adoulin (J-11). Tuffle-Buffle and Musto-Rusto are rehearsing.

- Talk to Runje Desaali, Eastern Adoulin (J-10). Turn down her first price. She will make the candy for a jar of Jungle Nectar and 10,000 bayld.
- Buy a jar of Jungle Nectar from Soupox in Leafallia for 1,000 bayld.
- Trade the Jungle Nectar to Runje Desaali while carrying 10,000 bayld. She gives you the Copse Candy. If you lose it, she sells another for 10,000 bayld.

- Win 3 rounds to finish this step. Each talk to Masad plays one round, and the rolls appear in your chat log. Both sides roll toward 11, and anything over 11 is a bust. The closer total wins, and a tie is replayed. Losses don't cost you anything, so keep playing.
- Optional: after 2 lost rounds, Runje Desaali (Eastern Adoulin, J-10) sells the key item Grunt Heard 'Round the World for 30,000 bayld. With it, Sangy keeps rolling until he busts. You keep the key item.
