Magicked Skull in Valkurm Dunes

guide · Server guide

Magicked Skulls drop from Ghouls (skeletons) in Valkurm Dunes. Several quests ask for one (Elder Memories, The Road to Aht Urhgan, Dormant Powers Dislodged) and it counts for Records of Eminence objectives.

Where to find a Ghoul

Any time of day, four caster Ghouls (black mages) are always out:

- West beach near Selbina, roaming the sand with the Beach Pugils.
- South beach, in the middle of the southern shore with the Snippers and Beach Pugils.
- East beach, the south-eastern shore near the Hippomaritimus.
- By the outpost, a short walk north-east of the conquest outpost (Quanteilleron, R.K.).

At night (20:00 to 04:00), more Ghouls can appear at the Goblin camps across the dunes: they share spots with the Goblins, so kill the Goblins at a camp after 20:00 for a chance at a Ghoul in their place. Camp Ghouls fade away at 04:00.

Tips

- Ghouls are level 18 to 22 and aggressive; they detect by sound.
- The Magicked Skull is a common drop. It's Rare/Ex, so you can only carry one at a time.
