Trust engage modes and the Lieutenant
guide ยท Server guide
You choose how your Trusts go into a fight. In Lieutenant mode one of your Trusts leads: it picks the monsters to fight and the rest of your Trusts follow it, so your squad can hunt on its own.
The three engage modes
Type !trustengage <number>:
Number | Mode | What your Trusts do |
0 | Standard | Engage once you engage a monster and swing at it. |
1 | Attack | Engage as soon as you engage a monster. |
2 | Lieutenant | Your chosen Trust picks targets; the others follow its target. |
!trustengage on its own shows the list and your current mode.
Choosing your Lieutenant
- !trustlead <name> makes one of the Trusts you have out the Lieutenant, for example !trustlead Zeid. The start of the name is enough. (!trustlieutenant is the same command, spelled out.)
- !trustlead first goes back to the default: the first Trust you called.
- If your Lieutenant is dismissed, the first Trust you called leads instead.
Telling it what to fight
!trustaggro <order> sets what the Lieutenant goes after:
Order | The Lieutenant pulls |
ep | Easy Prey |
dc | up to Decent Challenge |
em | up to Even Match (the default) |
t | up to Tough |
vt | up to Very Tough |
it | up to Incredibly Tough |
all | anything, including Too Weak |
defend | only monsters that are attacking you |
Checks are made against your level. The Lieutenant only goes for a monster that isn't already fighting someone, and that would notice the Lieutenant (it detects by sight, sound and so on, as monsters do). In defend it ignores everything else and goes for whatever has you as its target.
Example
- Call your Trusts.
- !trustengage 2
- !trustlead Valaineral
- !trustaggro t
Valaineral now pulls anything up to Tough that would notice him, and the rest of your Trusts join in on his target.
