Treasure Caskets
guide ยท Server guide
When you defeat a regular monster in the field or a dungeon, there is about a 1 in 2 chance it was concealing a Treasure Casket. You'll see "The monster was concealing a treasure chest!" and a casket appears where the monster fell.
- The casket belongs to the party or alliance that made the kill, and only lasts a few minutes, so open it soon.
- Some caskets open right away and hand out items. Locked ones ask you to guess a two-digit combination; examine the casket for hints before you guess, and you have a limited number of tries.
- Rewards include crystals, medicines, scrolls, ores and other zone-themed materials, plus temporary items.
- The "Increased Treasure Casket Discovery" prowess from Grounds of Valor or Fields of Valor pages raises the chance by 4% per stack, up to 5 stacks.
+1 gear in item caskets
A casket that holds items (not temporary items) has a 5% chance to also hold one piece of +1 or high-quality gear.
- The piece is one the opener's main job can wear, from about 6 levels below to 3 levels above the monster that left the casket.
- Rings, earrings, belts, backs and necks come up three times as often as other slots.
- One piece in three carries a random augment. Weapons can get any augment; armour never gets a weapon-only one (damage, delay and the like). Augments that come in single points (STR+1, HP+1 and so on) roll higher on higher-level pieces.
