Placeholder NMs that share a spawn point

guide · Server guide

Some placeholder NMs share the exact spawn point with their placeholders, so only one of them is ever up. Like every placeholder NM on Vanadreams, these pop the moment their placeholder fades after a kill (about 3 seconds). When the NM is defeated, the placeholders come back, and the next placeholder kill pops it again.

NM | Zone | Kill this placeholder |
Thousandarm Deshglesh | Ghelsba Outpost (north-east orc camp) | Orcish Grunt, Orcish Stonechucker or Orcish Neckchopper at the same spot |
Teporingo | Dangruf Wadi | Hoarder Hare |
Be'Hya Hundredwall | Palborough Mines | Old Quadav or Copper Quadav |
Desmodont | Outer Horutoto Ruins | Stink Bats |
Antican Proconsul | Quicksand Caves | Antican Signifer |
Konjac | Toraimarai Canal | Mousse |
Enkelados | Upper Delkfutts' Tower | Gigas Bonecutter |
Nightmare Vase | Ro'Maeve | Magic Flagon |
Rogue Receptacle | Ro'Maeve | Magic Flagon |
Friar Rush | Den of Rancor | Bifrons |
Tawny-fingered Mugberry | Den of Rancor | Tonberry Slasher |
Bistre-hearted Malberry | Den of Rancor | Tonberry Beleaguerer |
Rampaging Ram | Konschtat Highlands | Tremor Ram |
Steelfleece Baldarich | Konschtat Highlands | Rampaging Ram (kill Tremor Ram, then Rampaging Ram) |

Grand Marid

Grand Marids are regular (non-NM) monsters in Bhaflau Thickets and Wajaom Woodlands. Each one shares a spawn point with a Marid, so either can be standing there when the point respawns.

Chariotbuster Byakzak (Fort Ghelsba)

Kill the Orcish Panzer and Chariotbuster Byakzak appears in its place every time. (Without the fast-NM setting, the Panzer would give an Orcish Fighter instead, and only after Byakzak's 21 to 24 hour wait would he come back.)

Jailer of Temperance (Grand Palace of Hu'Xzoi)

Kill any of the five Eozdei Still in the Temperance area and the Jailer of Temperance appears where it fell, with no waiting between pops. (On the original game only one randomly chosen Eozdei Still, changing every 15 minutes, can pop him, and he then stays away for 15 minutes.)

Bigmouth Billy (East Ronfaure)

Kill one of the two placeholder Carrion Worms and Bigmouth Billy appears right where it fell. The worms are among the many Carrion Worms on the road east of the Gate of Rhoslind; one wanders the area around (453, -127) and the other the stretch of road near (404, -16).

Roaming NMs appear at the placeholder

Notorious monsters that wander a stretch of land (most field NMs) now appear right where their placeholder was defeated, instead of somewhere along their wander route.
