Dynamis - Divergence JSE necks

guide ยท Server guide

Each job has its own neck from Dynamis - Divergence (Warrior's Beads, Duelist's Torque, Bagua Charm, and so on). You craft it, then rank it up at Oboro. It works the same way as on retail.

What you need

Step | Where | Cost |
Moldy neckpiece for your job | Aurix, Ru'Lude Gardens (G-8) | 1 Beastmen's medal (they also drop in Divergence) |
Your job's crystal (e.g. Ruby crystal for WAR) | Aurix | 1 Kindred's medal |
Synthesis | anywhere | Light crystal, the moldy neckpiece, your job's crystal, Dark Matter, plus one craft material (Waktza crest, Yggdreant bole/root, Cehuetzi claw/pelt) and one thread/leaf/log/leather/coral |
Ranking | Oboro, Port Jeuno (E-6) | Heroism Crystals (10 rank points) / Aggregates (50), or kills in Divergence while wearing the neck |

Steps

- Enter Divergence. Trade Aurix 100 identification cards of one kind to get a medal of that wave (Beastmen's, Kindred's or Demon's).
- Buy the moldy neckpiece. Trade Aurix one Beastmen's medal while on the job you want the neck for. You must have entered that neckpiece's city: nodowa and stole are San d'Oria, beads and gorget Bastok, torque and collar Windurst, charm Jeuno.
- Buy your job's crystal. Trade Aurix one Kindred's medal while on that job. First, in your job's city, beat the wave 1 boss or kill 100 Squadron enemies:

- San d'Oria: WHM, RDM, PLD, DRG, SCH
- Bastok: WAR, MNK, THF, DRK, SAM, NIN
- Windurst: BLM, RNG, SMN, BLU, GEO
- Jeuno: BST, BRD, COR, PUP, DNC, RUN

- Craft the neck. This is a master-level recipe: level 110 in the main craft (Woodworking for beads, Smithing for nodowa, Goldsmithing for torques, Clothcraft for stoles, Leathercraft for collars, Bonecraft for gorgets, Alchemy for charms) plus 55 in a second craft. A normal success gives the NQ neck, HQ1 gives +1, and HQ2 gives +2. There is no trade that turns an NQ into a +1.
- Rank it at Oboro. Trade him the neck, alone or with Heroism Crystals/Aggregates. Rank 1 is immediate. The highest rank is 15 for NQ, 20 for +1 and 25 for +2. Kills in Divergence while you wear the neck add points; Oboro applies them the next time you trade him the neck. Talk to Oboro while you hold a neck to see where it stands.

Getting to skill 110

To raise a craft past 100, pass the guild master's Expert test. You need the guild's "Way of the ..." key item (20,000 guild points from the guild's union representative) and an item you made and signed yourself. That raises the craft's cap to 110. Specialization limits you to one craft above 70, so your second craft can be at most 70.

JSE weapons (Superior 4-5) from moldy weapons

Each job has a Divergence weapon (Warrior's Chopper, Sorcerer's Staff, Scout's Crossbow, Koga Shinobi-Gatana, and so on). As with the necks, NQ, HQ1 and HQ2 are the three grades.

Material | How to get it (Aurix) |
Moldy weapon for your job | Trade 1 Demon's medal on that job |
Relic Adaman (2 per weapon) | Trade Beastmen's medals together with a moldy weapon. Each medal gives one, and you keep the weapon. You must have entered any Divergence city. |
Ratnaraj (1 per weapon) | Trade Kindred's medals with a moldy weapon. Each medal gives one. You must have beaten any city's wave 1 boss or killed 100 of its Squadron. |
Your job's crystal | 1 Kindred's medal, as for the neck |
Moldy bolt (Rangers, for Scout's Bolts) | Trade Demon's medals with a moldy crossbow or a Scout's Crossbow |

The synth: light crystal, the moldy weapon, a Ratnaraj, 2 Relic Adaman, your job's crystal, plus Dark Matter and two other materials (Vagary and Omen drops), depending on the weapon.

- The main craft needs level 111: craft at 110 and add skill gear or a Moghancement.
- The second craft needs 70 or less.
- You need that craft's guild gold book (Aurum Tome). The guild master gives it to you when you show them a finished Escutcheon (the Escutcheon quest line, which starts with Mewk Chorosap in Port Jeuno once you are Expert).

Gold books by craft:

- Woodworking: staves and the crossbow
- Smithing: knives, Warrior's Chopper and Scout's Bolts
- Goldsmithing: fists and swords
- Clothcraft: wands
- Leathercraft: great katana and katana
- Bonecraft: Monster Axe and Abyss Scythe
- Alchemy: Wyrm Lance and Futhark Claymore

Notes

- The rank point totals Oboro asks for are scaled by the server's upgrade-cost rate. Medal prices are always 1.
- Aurix only lets you talk to him if you have the Scintillating Rhapsody and the Dynamis Tavnazia sliver.
