Missions
A Moogle Kupo d'Etat and A Shantotto Ascension
- Coffer keys: finishing these missions now gives their Tenshodo coffer keys, so their coffer gear can be opened:
Mission | Key |
A Moogle Kupo d'Etat 2 | White Coral Key |
A Moogle Kupo d'Etat 4 | Blue Coral Key |
A Moogle Kupo d'Etat 7 | Black Coral Key |
A Moogle Kupo d'Etat 10 | Red Coral Key |
A Moogle Kupo d'Etat 14 | Angel Skin Key and Oxblood Key |
A Shantotto Ascension 3 | Moogle Key |
A Shantotto Ascension 4 | Bird Key |
- AMK 6: you can refight the Cardians for another Peach Coral Key. The Ripe Starfruit only comes while you are on mission 6, and paying Shantotto for it only moves mission 6 along.
- AMK 7: the moogle's dig now works in La Theine Plateau.
- AMK 10: with the Navaratna Talisman, win the Shimmering Circle fight against Nanaa Mihgo in the Chamber of Oracles. The win completes the mission and gives the Red Coral Key.
- AMK 14: the Throne Room win gives the Angel Skin Key and Oxblood Key. Checking the Inconspicuous Door afterwards puts you on "A Moogle Kupo d'Etat Fin", which opens Squintrox Dryeyes' services in Port Jeuno.
- ASA 5 (Andrause, Norg): he takes only the soul plates of the three monsters he asked for, one of each; any other plate is handed back. The Soultrapper (if you have none) and 12 Blank Soul Plates cost 800 gil, and the gil is only taken if the items fit in your bags.
Wings of the Goddess
- A Nation on the Brink: only the party leader can open the Underpass Hatch; party members in the area who are on or past the mission go in with them. The Underpass Hatch Key is used up on entry, and while you are on the mission the Bulwark Gate in Sauromugue Champaign [S] gives a new one to anyone without one. The allied troops wait 2 minutes before they advance. While each commander lives, they hand temporary items to players within about 10 yalms every 3 minutes, starting about 5 minutes in: Zazarg (Monarch's, Barbarian's and Oracle's Drinks), Rongelouts N Distaud (Dusty Potion, Dusty Ether, Dusty Scroll of Reraise), Romaa Mihgo (Spy's, Fighter's and Assassin's Drinks). One-eyed Gwajboj uses Invincible every 3 minutes.
- Distorter of Time: Cait Sith Ceithir calls Atomos at 75%, 50% and 25% HP, three times at most, for about 30 seconds each. Atomos appears at its own spot and attacks Ceithir's target.
- Prelude to a Storm: after a loss, Rally Point: Green gives you a new Magelight Signal Flare straight away.
Dynamis - Dreamland (Valkurm, Buburimu, Qufim)
Popping the NMs: check a boss ??? to see what it wants, then trade exactly that.
Area | Boss | Arch boss (trade all together) | Lost NMs (one item each) |
Valkurm | Creeper's Juju → Cirrate Christelle | Fiendish Tome II ch. 1-4 → Arch Christelle | Nightmare Bud → Lost Nant'ina; Nightmare Log → Lost Fairy Ring; Flask of Nightmare Water → Lost Stcemqestcint |
Buburimu | Revelatory Juju → Apocalyptic Beast | Fiendish Tome II ch. 5-9 → Arch Apocalyptic Beast | Nightmare Shank → Lost Stihi; Nightmare Roast → Lost Barong; Nightmare Loin → Lost Alklha; Nightmare Chop → Lost Aitvaras |
Qufim | Undying Juju → Antaeus | Fiendish Tome II ch. 10-13 → Arch Antaeus | Vial of Nightmare Blood → Lost Stringes; Nightmare Shell → Lost Scolopendra; Nightmare Shard → Lost Suttung |
All of these items drop inside those areas. The ??? stays up after a pop.
Valkurm countermeasures: use these items on Cirrate Christelle or Arch Christelle from within 10 yalms. Each one makes one of her breaths much rarer (from 1 in 4 of her moves to about 1 in 10); it never removes it. Each works once per spawn.
Item | Breath it weakens |
Odorless Fungus | Putrid Breath |
Clump of Absorbent Moss | Fragrant Breath |
Redolent Root | Miasmic Breath |
The three items are Rare and drop in Dynamis - Valkurm. Arch Christelle can't be slept, bound, weighed down or silenced.
Dynamis - Tavnazia: the Effigy Prototype gives Azure Granules of Time and the Tombstone Prototype gives Crimson Granules of Time (10 minutes each).
Abyssea
- Who gets an NM's key items and atma: the player who claimed the NM, and only while still in the same Abyssea area when it dies.
- Atma: each alliance member in the area who lacks one of the NM's atma has a 10% chance at it. A red weakness makes it certain for everyone. The NM's other key items go to the claimer at 20% each, or certainly with a red weakness.
- Popping with key items: if the NM is already up when you confirm at the ???, nothing happens and you keep your key items.
- Lights: the finishing blow decides the light: a spell gives azure, a physical weapon skill ruby, a magical weapon skill amber, anything else pearl. Lights go to every alliance member in the area, and every NM gives +1 ebon. Regular Abyssea monsters have extra HP so there's time to line up the finish (see Server rates).
- Sturdy Pyxis: picks its kind correctly when you have no ruby, azure or amber light.
NMs that can now appear
- Demilune NMs in Abyssea - Attohwa and Abyssea - Misareaux: buy a clear demilune abyssite (300 cruor) and rest in the area: within 300 yalms you are told the direction and distance of the nearest hidden NM. Rest within 4 yalms of the spot and it appears, claimed to you. Attohwa: At'euvhi, then Es'euvhi, then Lusca (jade demilune). Misareaux: Mi'ghrah, then Mx'ghrah, then Tristitia (sapphire demilune). Each kill has a 20% chance to upgrade a credited player's abyssite (certain with a red weakness). The jade and sapphire abyssites break when used.
- Iratham (Abyssea - Tahrongi): appears at 21:00 Vana'diel time, or at any hour on a full moon, and returns 15 to 20 minutes after a defeat.
- Myrmecoleon (Abyssea - Tahrongi): lies buried and unseen. Fight Lachrymater nearby and it bursts out and takes Lachrymater's target, usually killing Lachrymater outright. It returns 15 to 20 minutes after a defeat.
- Arimaspi (Abyssea - Konschtat): at 80%, 60%, 40% and 20% HP it uses Hypnosis and brings its Lesser Arimaspi back up to three.
- Furious Arundmite (Sih Gates): trade a Sliced Thread to the ??? (Tortured Diremites drop the thread).
- Cowll Hippogryph (Woh Gates): trade a Sullied Feather to the ??? (Nesting Hippogryphs drop it).
- Goblin Archaeologist (Konschtat Highlands, La Theine Plateau, Tahrongi Canyon): trade the ??? items a shop would buy. Their sell value adds 1 to 15 to a total everyone in that area shares; at 50 the Goblin Archaeologist appears, claimed to whoever traded last. Each character can trade once per Vana'diel day, at one of the three ???. Examine the ??? to hear how close it is.
Reives
- Wildskeeper Reives: the Naakual and its helpers could not be fought in any of the six Wildskeeper Reives. They can now.
- See Coalition Assignments for what a won Reive gives once you have reached its Bayld cap.
Delve, Vagary and Sortie
- Delve fractures: every tier I to V NM killed in a fracture gives everyone in the fracture that route's yggzi key item (impure for tiers I to III, semi-pure for IV and V).
- Morseiu (Yorcia Weald) gives 750 Mweya Plasm, doubled to 1,500 by the server's double currency.
- Vagary gates (Outer Ra'Kaznar): if the leader holds the Prototype Sigil Pearl, the gate offers entry to the alliance, and party members in the area who hold a sigil pearl come along.
- Sortie (Diaphanous Transposer, Kamihr Drifts): party members within 50 yalms who hold a Shiny Ra'Kaznarian Plate come in with the leader.
- Sortie earrings: the rolled stats on Sortie earrings are no longer counted twice. Each earring now has its base stats plus its rolled augments.
Weapons and gear
- Gama-Shama now stands outside the Silver Knife in Eastern Adoulin, so Prime weapons can be bought and upgraded.
- Mpu Gandring (stage 5): dagger, parrying and magic accuracy skill 277.
- Oseem: reforges now use the materials you carry; see Half-cost gear and weapon upgrades.
Other
- Ninja tools: ninjutsu finds its tools in your inventory, then your Mog Sack, then your Mog Case, and takes them from whichever bag it found them in.
- Linkshell Co [cut off]
