Dynamis - Windurst

guide ยท Server guide

How to run Dynamis - Windurst: the time extensions, the pop items, the Tzee Xicu Idol and the Arch boss behind it.

Getting in

- Main job level 65 or higher, and the one-time Dynamis unlock: zone into Xarcabard at level 65+ with nation rank 6+ for the cutscene, examine the Trail Markings for the key item Vial of Shrouded Sand, then trade 50,000 gil to Haggleblix (Beadeaux), Antiqix (Castle Oztroja) or Lootblox (Davoi) for the key item Prismatic Hourglass.
- Windurst has no other requirement. Examine the Trail Markings in Windurst Walls to enter.
- Each player enters on their own. You go in with your support job.
- No wait between runs. Nothing is used up when you enter.
- Trusts are allowed, including in an alliance (each party leader's own Trusts, up to 6 per party).
- You start with 60 minutes. The Somnial Threshold next to where you arrive lets you leave.
- Winning gives the title Dynamis-Windurst Interloper and the key item Hydra Corps Lantern, one of the four city key items that open Dynamis - Beaucedine.

The run

Positions in brackets are what the !where command shows.

You arrive in the far south-west corner at (-222, 1, -120). The Tzee Xicu Idol's ??? is in the far south-east at (95, -3, -148). The run is a clockwise loop: east along the south, up the east side, west across the north, down the west side, then back to the south-east for the bosses.

Time extensions

Each one is an Avatar Idol. Killing it gives everyone in the killer's party or alliance who is in the zone and lacks that colour the granule key item and adds its minutes. It comes back 85 seconds later.

Granule | Where | Level | Minutes |
Crimson | South, east of the entrance (-51, -3, -113) | 65 | 10 |
Azure | East side (131, -3, 99) | 65 | 10 |
Amber | North-east (102, -8, 218) | 65 | 10 |
Alabaster | Far north (5, -3, 281) | 80 | 15 |
Obsidian | North-west corner (-189, -3, 142) | 80 | 15 |

All five take you from 60 to 120 minutes. They also switch on procs (see Strategy): three granules for blue, four for yellow, five for red.

Route

- South. Walk east from the entrance and kill the Crimson Avatar Idol at (-51, -3, -113). An Oracle and its avatar stand beside it.
- South-centre. Haa Pevi the Stentorian roams around (48, -8, -52). Kill it for a chance at the Divine Bijou.
- East side, going north. Azure Idol at (131, -3, 99). Then the three Bijou NMs: Loo Hepe the Eyepiercer around (113, -8, 114), Wuu Qoho the Razorclaw around (114, -12, 153) and Xoo Kaza the Solemn around (102, -13, 200). Amber Idol at (102, -8, 218).
- North. The monsters here are level 90-92. They drop the odious pop items. Alabaster Idol at (5, -3, 281). The ??? for Naa Yixo is at (-26, -13, 259).
- North-west and west. The ??? for Fuu Tzapo is at (-94, -13, 190) and the ??? for Xuu Bhoqa at (-99, -6, 131). Obsidian Idol in the corner at (-189, -3, 142).
- Centre-north. The ??? for Tee Zaksa is in the lower basin at (0, -17, 134).
- South-east. Trade the Divine Bijou to the ??? at (95, -3, -148) for the Tzee Xicu Idol. It always drops Fiendish Tome: Chapter 11.
- Arch boss. Trade Fiendish Tome chapters 11 to 15 to the same ??? for the Arch Tzee Xicu Idol.

Refill statues

Eight statue points, each an Avatar Icon. Each point shows one statue picked at random from its group. Red eyes give nothing; blue eyes refill MP and green eyes refill HP for everyone within 30 yalms when it dies. It comes back 5 minutes later, possibly as another colour.

Point | Where |
South-centre | (9, -7, -38) or (-6, -4, -55) |
Centre | around (0, -9, -10) or (-7, -8, -9) |
East | around (110, -11, 149) or (107, -11, 146) |
North-east | (112, -11, 165) or (114, -11, 163) |
West | (-129, -6, 130) or (-131, -6, 131) |
North-west | (-102, -13, 218) or around (-99, -13, 213) |
Far north | (-13, -13, 282), (-13, -13, 287) or (-12, -13, 279) |
Centre-north basin | (-8, -16, 127), (29, -16, 187) or around (20, -16, 138) |

Pops

Every pop item is Rare and Ex, so each person can hold only one of each. They are not temporary: they stay in your bag after the run, so you can collect them over several runs.

Item | Trade to | Spawns |
Divine Bijou | ??? at (95, -3, -148) | Tzee Xicu Idol |
Odious Necklace | ??? at (-99, -6, 131) | Xuu Bhoqa the Enigma |
Odious Feather | ??? at (-94, -13, 190) | Fuu Tzapo the Blessed |
Canteen of Odious Holy Water | ??? at (-26, -13, 259) | Naa Yixo the Stillrage |
Odious Quipu | ??? at (0, -17, 134) | Tee Zaksa the Ceaseless |
Fiendish Tome chapters 11-15 (all five at once) | ??? at (95, -3, -148) | Arch Tzee Xicu Idol |

Examine the boss ??? to see which items it takes. The four NM ??? marks name their item when you examine them.

Divine Bijou

- Drops from the four Bijou NMs at 24% each: Haa Pevi, Loo Hepe, Wuu Qoho and Xoo Kaza.
- They are on a 15-minute respawn and roam their area.
- Fastest: walk the east side (step 3 of the route) and kill all three there, then Haa Pevi on the way back south. Bring Treasure Hunter.

Odious items

Each drops at 5% from the level 90-92 Vanguards in the north and west half of the zone. Only those higher-level ones carry them; the level 75-77 Vanguards in the south and east do not.

Item | Vanguard jobs that drop it |
Odious Necklace | Inciter (DRK), Oracle (SMN), Salvager (RNG), Visionary (RDM) |
Odious Feather | Exemplar (PLD), Liberator (THF), Partisan (DRG), Prelate (BLM) |
Canteen of Odious Holy Water | Assassin (NIN), Chanter (BRD), Priest (WHM) |
Odious Quipu | Ogresoother (BST), Persecutor (SAM), Sentinel (MNK), Skirmisher |

- Where they stand: the north camps from (-90, -9, 94) up to (-102, -13, 218), the line along the north edge from (-35, -13, 260) to (29, -3, 262), the north-west camps near (-139, -4, 149) to (-184, -3, 151), the basin at (-58, -14, 123) to (-42, -16, 132) and the group near (-44, -13, 240).
- Fastest: one alliance sweeps the north half once with Treasure Hunter on. Everything there respawns in 5 minutes, so a second pass is possible inside 120 minutes.

Fiendish Tomes 11-15

Each comes from one fight, always (100%):

Chapter | Dropped by |
11 | Tzee Xicu Idol |
12 | Xuu Bhoqa the Enigma |
13 | Fuu Tzapo the Blessed |
14 | Naa Yixo the Stillrage |
15 | Tee Zaksa the Ceaseless |

One person must hold all five to trade them, so lot them to the same player.

Strategy

Everything here deals 1.5 times normal damage and drops no gil. The Yagudo are all one family: their ancient currency is Tukuku Whiteshell.

Procs. Once you hold three or more granules, hitting a Vanguard or Yagudo NM with the right kind of action can proc it:

- Weapon skills on WAR, PLD, DRK, SAM and DRG types (25%).
- Job abilities on MNK, THF, BST, RNG and NIN types (20%).
- Spells on WHM, BLM, RDM, BRD and SMN types (8%).
- Blue (3 granules) gives it Amnesia for 30 seconds, yellow (4) Terror for 30 seconds, red (5) takes away its two-hour ability for good. Each proc adds an extra ancient currency drop. A red proc makes it a sure single.

Setup. A full alliance, or your party plus Trusts. A tank, a healer, a Treasure Hunter thief, and nukers. The Avatar Idols, Tzee Xicu Idol and the Arch boss take half damage from physical attacks, so black mages and other nukers carry those fights. A red mage or bard for Sleep helps with the Yagudo NMs' links.

Yagudo NMs and Doom

Every named Yagudo here (the Bijou NMs, the four ??? NMs and the Febi bodyguards) has Doom among its moves.

- Doom kills you when its countdown runs out.
- Killing the Yagudo that cast it lifts Doom from everyone within 30 yalms of it.
- So: when someone is Doomed, finish that Yagudo fast and keep the Doomed player near it. Holy Water and Cursna also work.
- Their other moves: Feather Storm (poison; hits harder the farther away you stand), Double Kick (stun), Sweep (area stun), Parry (defence up) and Howl (attack up for its group).
- Each uses its main job's two-hour once, somewhere below half HP.

Avatar Idol (time extensions)

- Black mage, 1,000 HP. Half damage from physical attacks.
- Can't be silenced, sle [cut off]
