Dynamis - Divergence

guide ยท Server guide

A timed, 18-player-max battle through Dynamis-San d'Oria [D], Bastok [D], Windurst [D] and Jeuno [D], in three waves: statues and Leader NMs, then Regiments and Commanders, then the Disjoined circles, Volte and the final boss.

Getting in

- Level 99, and you must have finished Rhapsodies of Vana'diel (key item Scintillating Rhapsody).
- The party leader needs an Empty Hourglass. Get one from Aurix, the ??? at G-8 in Ru'Lude Gardens (Aurix wants Scintillating Rhapsody and the Dynamis-Tavnazia sliver).
- The leader clicks Enigmatic Footprints in the city: Ru'Lude Gardens (Jeuno), Southern San d'Oria, Bastok Mines or Windurst Walls. Both footprints (#1 and #2) work, and both show on widescan. The hourglass is kept, so you only need one.
- Party and alliance members who are level 99, have finished Rhapsodies and are standing within about 50 yalms of the leader go in with them.
- After a run you wait 1 hour before you can enter again.
- Without the story key item, the footprints only show "a tear in the fabric of space". If entry fails for any other reason, the footprints tell you why.

Inside

- 60 minutes to start. Each statue adds 1 minute, and each wave boss adds time.
- Aurix appears inside three times and restores HP.
- Everyone gets a Black Hourglass (temporary item) on entry. Use it (10 second cast) to leave early and return to the city. Warp spells and warp items also take you out.
- Drops: Divergence currency (tags, medals, shards and voids), Volte gear and moldy relic gear. Trade these to Aurix to upgrade relics to +2 and +3.
- Clearing earns a title, job points and merit points.

First-kill bonus

The first time someone defeats a wave boss (the wave 1 statue, the wave 2 boss or the wave 3 boss) or Aurix in a given city, the whole run is rewarded for it.

- For each person present who had never beaten that foe in that city before, everyone present gets one of that wave's identification cards. Each card has a 5% chance to come as the wave's medal instead.
- With three first-timers in the run, everyone gets three.
- Wave 1 pays in Rusted Identification Cards (or Beastmen's Medals), wave 2 in Blackened Identification Cards (or Kindred's Medals), wave 3 in Old Identification Cards (or Demon's Medals).
- Wave bosses and Aurix count separately, and each city counts separately.

Masks of Darkness and Light

- Destroying one of the elemental circles in wave 3 gives everyone in the run who doesn't have it the city's Mask of Darkness (Elvaan in San d'Oria, Galka in Bastok, Tarutaru in Windurst, Mithra in Jeuno).
- While you hold it, the damage the whole alliance deals to the Disjoined boss fills your mask. It fills at 500,000 damage, and it keeps filling over later runs in the same city.
- A full mask turns into the city's Mask of Light the first time. After that, each full mask gives a Crystal of Murky Astral Detritus instead. Either way the Mask of Darkness is used up, so destroy a circle again to get a new one.

Endgame materials

The wave 1, 2 and 3 bosses also roll the endgame upgrade material list at ten times the usual rate. See Endgame upgrade materials outside their home content.
