Limit breaks on Vanadreams

There is one limit break, the level 70 one. Win it and your level limit goes straight to 99.

- Everyone starts with a level limit of 70.
- Warrior through Summoner: from level 66, talk to Maat in Ru'Lude Gardens for Shattering Stars. Trade him your job's Testimony, then beat him in the burning circle he sends you to.
- The newer jobs use their own level 70 limit break fight instead:
- Blue Mage: The Beast Within
- Corsair: Breaking the Bonds of Fate
- Puppetmaster: Achieving True Power
- Dancer: A Furious Finale
- Scholar: Survival of the Wisest
- Geomancer: Elementary, My Dear Sylvie
- Rune Fencer: Endeavoring to Awaken
- The limit is per character: win any one of these fights and every job can go to 99.
- The other limit break quests (In Defiant Challenge through Beyond Infinity) are not used. If you still have a Soul Gem Clasp or a half-finished limit break quest from before, it is cleared the next time you log in, and you don't need it.

Merits, Job Points and Master Levels

Talk to Maat or the Nomad Moogle in Ru'Lude Gardens:

- Level 75 or higher: you receive the Limit Breaker (merit points).
- Level 99: you receive the Job Breaker (job points).
- Level 99 with all 2100 job points spent on that job: you receive the Master Breaker (Master Levels).

Characters from before this change: if your limit is above 80, any job is above 80, or you already finished a level 70 limit break quest, your limit becomes 99 when you log in. If you started at the old limit of 80 and never went past 70, your limit is now 70 and the fight is yours to do. If a job is at 71-80, you keep a limit of 80 and the same fight opens 99.
