Aht Urhgan quests

guide · Server guide

Promotion: Captain

- Start: Abquhbah, Aht Urhgan Whitegate.
- Needs: First Lieutenant, all 50 Assault missions cleared, and Treasures of Aht Urhgan finished (current mission "Eternal Mercenary").
- What to do: the exam is a shoulder massage for a worn-out Naja Salaheem. Pick "rub... rub..." every time. A wrong choice just restarts the count.
- Reward: promotion to Captain.

The Ashu Talif orders (General Halshaob, Nashmau)

Board the pirate ship from the Cutter in Arrapago Reef. Each order is a 30-minute instance.

Order | Opens after | Price | Goal | Repeat |
Scouting the Ashu Talif | Guests of the Empire | 3 Imperial Bronze Pieces | Wipe out the crew | — |
Royal Painter Escort | Scouting the Ashu Talif | 1 Imperial Silver Piece | Keep the royal painter Faluuya alive while she charts the ship | Once per Earth day |
Targeting the Captain | Royal Painter Escort | 1 Imperial Mythril Piece | Defeat Cutthroat Kabsalah | Once per Earth day |

Ashu Talif crates

When you clear Royal Painter Escort or Targeting the Captain, every player who cleared it gets the crates' contents straight into their bags.

Royal Painter Escort

- Crate A (every clear): 12 Koga Shuriken, a gem, a Beastcoin, and Yoichi's Sash 10% of the time.
- Crate B (the boss was killed): an automaton attachment (Reactive Shield, Optic Fiber or Dynamo), plus one item from the ??? Box list below.
- Crate C (Faluuya ends at full HP): another gem, plus a 50/50 between Megrim Crown and one item from the ??? Box list.

Targeting the Captain

- Crate A (every clear): 12 Koga Shuriken, a gem, a Beastcoin, and Barbarossa's Zerehs 5% of the time.
- Crate B (Bubbly falls before the captain): an automaton attachment, plus one item from the ??? Box list.
- Crate C (the ambush): a 50/50 between one of Bronze Mittens +1, Leather Gloves, Cuffs, Cotton Gloves or Barbarossa's Moufles, and one item from the ??? Box list. To earn it:
- The first thing to touch Cutthroat Kabsalah must be a melee swing that lands while he is unaware. A spell, weapon skill, ability or ranged attack first, a miss, or him engaging on his own spoils it.
- Don't pull Bubbly before the captain is struck, and keep the Windjammer Imps from using a TP move within 20 yalms of him.
- Then kill Bubbly before the captain.

Gems: Translucent Rock, Peridot, Garnet, Aquamarine, Pearl, Black Pearl, Turquoise, Chrysoberyl, Sunstone, Zircon, Fluorite, Ametrine, Sphene (one at random).

??? Box list: Hydra Scale, Cerberus Hide, Bloodwood Log, Deathstone, Angelstone, Reactive Shield, Optic Fiber, Turbo Charger, Dynamo, Economizer, Schurzen, Tranquilizer, Condenser (one at random).

Odin: The Rider Cometh, Unwavering Resolve, A Stygian Pact

- The Rider Cometh: starts at the Walahra Temple in Whitegate. Yoyoroon in Nashmau sends you after the Ephramadian Shades in Arrapago Reef and Caedarva Mire for the Talisman of the Rebel Gods. Then face Odin at the Entry Gate in Hazhalm Testing Grounds. You get Whisper of Gloom for winning.
- Unwavering Resolve: repeatable once per JST day. Start with Naja Salaheem. On the 11th clear Odin frees Luzaf, you earn the Stygian knight title, and the repeat quest becomes A Stygian Pact.
- A Stygian Pact: the same steps and rewards, once per JST day. After the first clear Odin asks you to visit Einherjar.

Mythic weapons

- An Imperial Heist (Captain, after the last Aht Urhgan mission): talk to Naja Salaheem to start. With the Runic Key from Nyzul Isle floor 100, trade Abquhbah a Vigil weapon from Nyzul Isle; its job decides which Mythic weapon you get. Trading him another one later swaps them and gives the first back. Then earn these titles (ones you already have count) and report to Naja Salaheem:

- Shining Scale Rifler, Troll Subjugator and Gorgonstone Sunderer
- Star, Sun, Comet and Moon Charioteer
- Elite Einherjar

- Duties, Tasks, and Deeds: Paparoon in Nashmau gives you four tasks, done in any order:

- Alexandrite: 30,000 in all, or a Cat's Eye finishes this task at once.
- The picture book Wyrmseeker of Areuhat, from Zasshal in Whitegate for 150,000 Nyzul tokens.
- Five Assault memoires, each filled by clearing every mission of its area.
- Balrahn's Eyepatch, from Kilusha for Einherjar ampoules. He then gives you his sealed invitation.

- Forging a New Myth: examine the Imperial Whitegate with the invitation to receive your Mythic weapon. It is for the job of the Vigil weapon you gave Abquhbah.

- Trade Tinnin's Fang, Sarameya's Hide and Tyger's Tail to the Seaprince's Tombstone in Caedarva Mire.
- Then defeat Balrahn Eidolon there, solo, within 30 minutes, with the weapon equipped.

- Coming Full Circle: offered when you win.

- With the weapon equipped, examine the tombstone, then trade the weapon to it to awaken it.
- Examine the Imperial Whitegate, then report to Naja Salaheem.
- Reward: 3 Imperial Silver Pieces and the awakened weapon, with Aftermath and its Mythic weapon skill.
- Hadahda in Whitegate handles the level-cap upgrades after that.

Get the Picture

- Start: Balakaf, Whitegate. He lends you his image recorder.
- What to do: take pictures by trading a light crystal (or light cluster) to the ??? at each spot while the weather or time of day is right. The spots are in Wajaom Woodlands, Arrapago Reef (snow), Mount Zhayolm, Halvung, Aydeewa Subterrane (wind), Mamook and Caedarva Mire.
- Watch out:
- The first Arrapago shot always comes out too dark; retry with a light cluster.
- An Aurora crystal or the wrong light source ruins the lens. Replace it with an Ahriman lens.
- The recorder is ready again the next JST day after each shot.
- Reward: an Imperial Silver Piece per picture, and the Scenic Snapshotter title for the last one.
- Afterward: Balakaf mentions gold he lost at one of the picture spots. Find the Imperial Gold Piece there and show it to him to open Five Seconds of Fame.

Five Seconds of Fame

- Start: Balakaf, after Get the Picture. He lends you his photopticator.
- What to do: film five incidents in Whitegate. Set each one up by talking to the people involved, then record it by talking to the last of them during its hours. Only one film fits, so report each one before recording the next.

Incident | People | Hours (Vana'diel) |
A Pickpocket's Paradise | Zyfhil, then Talwahn | 15:00-24:00 |
Special of the Day | Ulamaal or Qutiba, Ratihb, then Zubyahn | 05:00-12:00 |
Smells Like a Rat | Mushayra, Hadahda, then Tehf Kimasnahya | 14:00-20:00 |
An Early Exit | Hishahma | 12:00-14:00 |
Strangers in the Night | Ahaadah, Mathlouq, then Nijaom | 20:00-04:00 |

Finding Faults and The Art of War (Hishahma, Whitegate)

- Finding Faults: study a beastman (Lamia, Troll or Mamool Ja).
- Examine the ??? at their camp: Caedarva Mire, Mount Zhayolm or Wajaom Woodlands.
- Defeat the notorious monster that appears and report its two weak points.
- A correct report earns spoils of that beastman.
- The Art of War: opens for Superior Private and up once all three beastmen are studied. Find a strategy against the orobon (Arrapago Reef), the wamouracampa (Halvung) and the puk (Mamook) the same way.
- Repeat: both can be repeated a minute after you finish. Only one of the two can be under way at a time.

Totoroon's Treasure Hunt (Nashmau)

- What to do: trade Totoroon a fruit and he names an area: Wajaom Woodlands, Bhaflau Thickets, Caedarva Mire or Mount Zhayolm.
- Use the area's tool (sickle, hatchet or pickaxe) on any of its gathering points.
- You either find something straight away or a notorious monster appears. Defeat it and gather again for a better find.
- Report back to Totoroon.
- Repeat: once per conquest tally.
